Spanish-born actor and director Antonio Banderas became a father figure to his stepson, Alexander Bauer, and stepdaughter, Dakota Mayi Johnson, after he married their mother, Melanie Griffith, an American actress, on May 14, 1996.
After marriage, his family further expanded with the arrival of his daughter, Stella del Carmen Banderas.
Well, as a father, he always maintained a close relationship with all his children. In 2008, during an exclusive interview with People magazine, Antonio said he always took a pragmatic approach to raising three kids: Alexander, Dakota, and Stella.
Antonio Banderas also mentioned his relationship with his stepson Alexander and stepdaughter Dakota and insisted, “I consider them my own children, naturally, and when I talk about them, I say my children, not my stepchildren.“
While he has hardly made a public appearance with Alexander in the latter years, he recently reunited with Dakota in Malanga. He shared a picture on Instagram, captioning, “Happiness: Dakota in Malanga!“
Antonio Banderas doesn’t have a son of his own but a daughter, Stella, who follows in his footsteps
Antonio Banderas’ only biological child, Stella del Carmen Banderas, was born on September 24, 1996, with his wife, Melanie Griffith, in Marbella, Spain.
Stella was three years old when she shared a big screen with her parents in the 1999 movie Crazy in Alabama. But as she grew up, she became more inclined towards direction.
Apart from movies and direction, Stella ventured into entrepreneurship, launching her beauty brand, Lightbound, three years back.
On August 2, 2021, she shared the good news with her Instagram family, writing, “I’ve put all my love and energy into @thisislightbound and am so excited to share the space on the site.”
There’s no doubt that she has all her parents’ support as Melanie promotes her daughter’s product on her Instagram as a proud mother.
