Maria Georgas, who gained significant recognition as a contestant on season 28 of The Bachelor, turned down the offer to become The Bachelorette of season 21.
Maria revealed her reason for not entering The Bachelorette in Alex Cooper’s podcast, Call Her Daddy, stating that when everyone supported her for the next Bachelorette, she had second thoughts and wasn’t that happy or excited about it.
She continued, “It’s my time where I was like, guys. I respectfully need to decline.” Maria also said being in the show is isolating, where she has to give up her phone and be alone, and she isn’t comfortable or mentally prepared for it.
Eventually, the ABC network decided to star Jenn Tran, the former showmate and friend of Maria Georgas, in The Bachelorette season 21.
