Jack Truitt, a former cellmate of Maryland assassin Hadden Clark, recently made his appearance on the Investigation Discovery docuseries Born Evil: The Serial Killer and the Savior by Michael Bay.
The series explores how the convict Hadden Clark made surprising confessions of his sinful activities, including the homicide of several young people and a child to Jack Truitt, whom he regarded as “Jesus,” which led to solving the cruel and cold case of Hadden.
Likewise, the series features interviews with several people, including Jack Truitt, Hadden’s brother Geoff Clark, the victims’ families, and many others connected to the case.
Jack Truitt played a significant role in investigating the case and helping the FBI to solve the case. Hadden Clark revealed his terrible doing to Truitt while they were serving their time behind the bars as a cellmate.
According to Jack, Clark told him where he hid Michele Dorr, a six-year-old girl victim of Hadden’s evil activities, which led police to the woods where her remains were found.
Similarly, a retired FBI special agent, Lou Luciano, who looked after the case of Hadden Clark in an interview, credited Jack Truitt for helping investigators. He stated, “Jack did this at great risk… being locked up in a correctional institution. Calling the police can make a very bad entry to your health record while you’re behind bars. But Jack picked up the phone and made that call.“
Jack Truitt served a lifetime sentence behind bars!
In 1999, Jack Truitt was serving sentence behind bars after being charged with the homicide, as said by Jack himself in the teaser of Born Evil: The Serious Killer and the Savior.
Moreover, in the series, Jack Truitt revealed that; back then, he dated the one of the jurors’ daughter and the jurors didn’t like Jack’s relationship with his daughter, which results in tragedy.
This event made Jack Truitt serve a lifetime sentence; he served his time behind bars for 26 years. He also stated in the series that he never expected to get out of prison.
According to former FBI special agent Luciano, even though he helped them solve Clark’s case, he never demanded any favors in return or asked them to help him escape from the lockup.
Similarly, he continued by saying Jack is a tough guy. He was a big-time shot-caller in the system, but now he’s one-eight of the guy he was. Luciano added, “I have great respect for him.“
Furthermore, the series’ executive producer, Paul GD Hogan, shared his experience working with Jack Truitt in a Facebook post, stating that Jack has been through so much in his life and has maintained a remarkably optimistic outlook despite weathering so much.
