Dearica Marie Hamby is an American basketball player for the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), who won the Bronze medal in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
The 31 year-old Dearica is not just an exceptional basketball player but also a great wife to her husband, Alonzo Nelson-Ododa, who is a basketball player.
Alonzo Nelson-Ododa attended Norcross High School. He started playing basketball for the Pittsburgh Panthers while studying Political Science at the University of Pittsburgh.
Furthermore, during his college years, Alonzo played in several basketball leagues, including Denmark-Ligaen, Portugal-Liga Professional, and others. He also played center for Team FOG Naestved in Denmark.

After five years of welcoming their first child, Dearica announced in September 2022 that the couple was expecting their second child at the Las Vegas Aces Championship parade.
Likewise, the couple gave birth to their second child, son Legend Marie Scandrick, in 2023. Dearica announced the birth of her son in her Instagram post, born on March 6, 2023.
