Usain Bolt once said that he would support his daughter, Olympia Lightning Bolt if she ever wanted to follow in his footsteps!

Usain Bolt once said that raising three children is like rival competing in the Olympics.

Date:

Jamaican retired sprinter Usain Bolt experienced fatherhood for the first time after he welcomed his daughter, Olympia Lightning Bolt, with his girlfriend, Kasi Bennett, on May 17, 2020.

Soon after her birth, Usain was asked during the media interaction what his step would be if his daughter ever wanted to be an athlete in the future. He answered that he would not try to push his daughter into athletics.

In the meantime, his answer came from his concern for his daughter since he is aware that people compare his daughter with him. While saying that, Usain Bolt also added if his daughter ever wants to pursue sports by her wish, he will stand by her side.

In this regard, he said, “But if she wants to do it, I’ll support her.” Well, it’s been about four years since Usain Bolt spoke about his daughter Olympia, and he appears to be stuck with his then-words.

Sometimes later, he even hinted if his daughter would become like him professionally, writing, “She [Olympia] does her own thing. She tries to run around the house, so we’re wondering if she’s going to be a runner but we’ll see.”

Since Usain Bolt named his daughter ‘Olympia,’ many hope she will live up to her name and be an athlete in the future

Eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt’s daughter, Olympia, appears to have struck sports enthusiasts. Lately, they have been anticipating seeing Olympia as an athlete.

On August 7, 2024, a Twitter user named Hunter Point tweeted, “It would be amazing to see Usain Bolt’s daughter follow in his footsteps! With a name like Olympia Lightning Bolt, she definitely has a lot of potential to live up to….

Likewise, another user @PreciousGNSD stated that he really hopes that Usain will train his daughter because he can’t let his daughter’s name, Olympia, go to waste.

Well, public discussion on what Olympia should do in the future appears to be unstoppable for a while since she is the daughter of one of track and field’s all-time legends, Usain Bolt.

Meanwhile, Olympia is enjoying her childhood. She recently turned 4 and still has a lot of time to decide what she wants to go for in the future.
