The Hall of Famer gained the attention of millions of people on Wednesday, September 11, after his live Instagram livestream, in which he was with a woman, went viral.
Though Shannon’s and the women’s faces don’t appear in the video, the voices of women making unusual sounds were heard, making people believe they were having a physical relationship.
At one point, over 6,000 fans watched his livestream, and millions of people commented on his video.
Furthermore, as soon as the clips from the live video went viral, people started assuming that Shannon Sharpe would be fired from ESPN. Many also asked the officials to fire him for his inappropriate activities.
Many tweets recently stated that ESPN fired Shannon Sharpe for his actions. A national insider for the NFL also shared a post on Twitter stating, “BREAKING: ESPN has announced they have fired Shannon Sharpe.“

In response to these posts, many commented that he didn’t deserve this and that firing him was not a good idea.
Similarly, people say he doesn’t need ESPN, and his YouTube platform is good. Some also say it is unfair to fire someone based on a video.
However, despite several claims on Twitter, Shannon Sharpe hasn’t shared anything about whether ESPN has fired him yet.

Earlier, on his Instagram story, Shannon Sharpe said that someone hacked his Instagram, and he and his team are working vigorously to figure this out. However, many people stated that he intentionally started the live stream to gain attention.
Some also claimed that hacking someone’s Instagram and starting a livestream is impossible, and Shannon Sharpe thinks people are stupid to believe him.
