Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders looks toned in her physical appearance as she has now become visibly slimmer than before, indicating that she has undergone significant weight loss.
Although she stunned people with her drastic physical transformation, losing significant weight, she actually seemed uninterested in talking about it.
Regardless, the latest Instagram pictures of Sarah Huckabee Sanders show that her weight loss journey started after she underwent surgery for her thyroid cancer.
On September 17, 2023, she took to Instagram, updating her post-surgery phase, announcing that she has gone cancer-free now. Her caption read, “Last September, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer…I underwent surgery to have my thyroid and several dozen lymph nodes removed…“
Sarah further mentioned that the picture she shared was taken just before her surgery, where she looked chubbier than she is now. But after that, every other picture she posted shows her body’s slow transformation from fat to fit.

In 2017, Los Angeles Times writer David Horsey body-shamed Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who was serving as a White House press secretary under Trump’s government at the time.
David’s opening line in his Wednesday morning column for the Los Angeles Times began with, “Sarah Huckabee Sanders does not look like the kind of woman Donald Trump would choose as his chief spokesperson.”
In the next column, he commented on Sarah’s physical appearance, addressing her as a ‘chunky soccer mom,’ accompanied by a cartoon image with a sign that reads ‘Big Mother.’
After that, David garnered a lot of criticism, and soon after, he apologized for his body-shaming phrase.
But, it was not the only time when Sarah faced humiliation for her overweight issue. NBC’s flagship comedy show also targeted her and made a joke about her body.
Later, however, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo came in support of Sarah, saying that fat-shaming her was not funny but mean.
For years, Sarah remained quiet, though people made fun of her. But now, as she revealed that she battled thyroid cancer, the disease presumably led her to the condition of obesity.
