Sanija Ameti, co-president of the political movement Operation Libero, took a recent picture of herself attacking images of Jesus and Mary, sparking discussion among netizens.
The Muslim Swiss Green Party politician Sanija Ameti uploaded two pictures on her social media where she can be seen wearing a black dress, holding a big sports firearm, and targeting the picture of Jesus and Mary.
Furthermore, the pictures displayed several holes in the faces of Jesus and Mary pictures. The first photo shows the politician standing and aiming a firearm with the caption in the German word “Abschalten,” which means turn off or detach.
Her second picture, which was used as the target, was triggering and part of an art catalog. According to Big News Network, she used one of the works of medieval Italian painter Tommaso Del Mazza from an illustrated catalog as a target.
As soon as Sanija posted the disturbing pictures on her social media, she received criticism from people all over the internet, and her activities have recently become the talk of the town.
Likewise, people are saying how she would react if someone posted photos of people firing at a picture of Mohammed, whereas some regard her as a selfish and disgusting person.
People are also saying that she has hurt the sentiments of millions of Christian and Muslim people with her actions, as the koran also venerates Jesus and Mary. Some are calling her as fake Muslim.

After intense backlash from netizens for her hurtful actions, Swiss politician Sanija Ameti immediately deleted her pictures from her social media.
Likewise, when Blick questioned her about the post and whether she might have hurt the religious feelings of Christians and Muslims with this action, Sanija sincerely apologized for her actions.
Her apology statement reads, “As a template for the 10-meter shooting, I needed motifs that were visible enough. I only had the Koller catalog to hand, which was big enough.”
Sanija further continued her apology by saying that she didn’t pay attention to the content of the pictures, which wasn’t right, and she was sorry from the bottom of her heart if she had hurt anyone.
She also asked for forgiveness from people hurt by her actions, stating that her actions were absolutely stupid and selfish.
Furthermore, several conservative politicians have criticized Ameti and urged her to resign from her posts. Nicolas Rimoldi, the founder of the Mass-Voll party, accused her of “Inciting hatred” against Christians and threatened to take legal action.
