Rich Homie Quan, a renowned American rapper, passed away earlier this month on September 5, 2024, at the young age of 34, leaving his mom, dad, and other family members devastated.
In memory of rapper Rich Homie Quan, a celebration of life service was held at World Changers Church International Fulton County on Tuesday, September 17.
Thousands of his fans, friends, his mom, and other family members paid tribute to the iconic rapper Rich Homie Quan, remembering his irreplaceable legacy.
Quan’s mom, Tammie Morgan Chism, remembered her late son by stating, “When the man said I would never have kids, God blessed me with you. You’ve been the anchor of my life from the beginning to the very end.“
Tammie Morgan also added that she is grateful for the 34 years god allowed her to share Quan with the world; though she won’t be able to talk to him, she will always feel his presence.
Similarly, Atlanta comedian DC Young Fly thanked Rich Homie Quan’s mom, Tammie Morgan, at his Celebration of Life for raising an icon and a legend. He also appreciated her graceful handling of painful situations.
In the article “Rich Homie Quan: Rich as in Spirit,” Quan himself writes that his mom, Tammie Morgan Chism, raised him single-handedly.
When Quan was eight or nine, he realized that his dad, Corey Lamar, had money and his mother didn’t. He stated, “I got to the age where I didn’t depend on my dad. I want to be around my daddy but I dont want to ask my daddy.“

In addition to Rich Homie Quan’s mom, Tammie’s tribute, his father, Corey Lamar, also shared an emotional memory paying tribute to his late son in his funeral service.
Meanwhile, Corey Lamar started talking about his late son by stating, “It is with heavy hearts that we are here today.” He recalled the day of Rich Homie Quan’s demise, stating that he still couldn’t believe that his eldest son was not with them.
Corey Lamar also stated that Quan was not just his son but also his best friend, and though they didn’t get it right every time, they gave it their all. Growing up without a biological father, Corey promised himself that he would give them all his love and care if he ever had kids.
Similarly, Corey emotionally stated, “From the day I met Quan and I held him, my life changed. I knew failure was not an option, but little did Quan know he pushed me even harder to be a dad, to be a role model, and to be an example.“
Well, Rich Homie Quan’s father, Corey Lamar, owned a barber shop earlier in 2014 when a tragic life-threatening incident took place in his life where he became the victim of a firearm. However, he survived, and during his difficult time, his son was with him.
Currently, Corey Lamar manages Rich Homie Quan’s official site to continue Quan’s legacy in the American rap industry.
