A 32-year-old nurse, Melissa Jubane from Oregon, who was recently executed, had married her husband Bryan Llantero, a military man, after a 10-year relationship.
The late nurse Melissa Jubane and her husband Bryan met for the first time at Mokuleia Beach. However, since Melissa was based in Oregon and Bryan was in Kahili, Oahu Island, Hawaii, they maintained a long-distance relationship for many years.

Their relatives said that the couple would travel back and forth to see one another, per Khon2 reports. After a long-distance relationship for years, the couple finally shared a ring in Oahu, Bryan’s hometown in 2023.
Recently, on August 24, 2024, Bryan and Melissa exchanged marital vows in a beautiful ceremony at Waimea Valley in the presence of their friends and family.
The couple had just begun their happily ever after, but unfortunately, their story remains incomplete following Melissa’s demise in an unfortunate incident.

On September 1, 2024, Melissa Jubbane and her husband flew to Washington State to spend Labor Day with Melissa’s family. After spending a day there, she left for the apartment in Beaverton, Oregon, on September 2, according to the New York Post.
Her mother-in-law reported that she stayed with Melissa on September 3, as it was close to her work. She added that Melissa did go to her workplace, St.Vincent Hospital, on September 3 but didn’t show up for the morning shift on September 4.

Besides, the last time her husband Bryan heard from her was around 6 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4.
Further, on the same day, at approximately 10:18 AM, when she had no contact and didn’t report to her work, the Beaverton Police Department received a welfare check request for 32-year-old Melissa Jubane, as her coworkers, friends, and family were concerned.
On September 7, after an extensive search, the Beaverton Police Department reported that Melissa was no longer alive.
Further, following the investigation, the Beaverton Police Department made a Facebook post that they arrested and charged 27-year-old Bryce Johnathan Schubert, a neighbor and fellow nurse at St. Vincent Hospital, with the homicide of Melissa Jubane.
