The 16-year-old Spanish footballer Lamine Yamal made his parents, Mounir Nasraoui and Sheila Ebana, proud of his performance in Spain’s Euro 2024 semi-final game over France. His ‘wondergoal’ led his team to the championship final.
Meanwhile, his family was at the stadium, and they were completely overwhelmed by Lamine’s remarkable goal-scoring. After Spain’s win, his mother Sheila and sister Baraa were seen with teary eyes hugging other family members, DailyMail reports.
After the game, Lamine’s father, Mounir, posted a heartfelt message on his social media about his son’s achievement, writing, “As a father and a person, I thank you, Don Lamine Yamal. Thank you, my son.“
Well, such a terrific accomplishment at such an early age without unwavering support from his parents wouldn’t be possible, would it?
The parents of Lamine Yamal separated when he was 3 years old, yet they maintained a good relationship for the sake of their child & supported him
Barcelona’s wonderkid, Lamine Yamal, was just three years old when his parents, Mounir Nasraoui and Sheila Ebana, divorced.
However, the two remained in harmony and co-parented their child. Initially, Lamine lived with his mom, Sheila, in La Torreta.
To support her child, Sheila started working at a fast food chain, where she met Inocente Diez, a coordinator of a football club. He insisted Sheila sign up Lamine for a football club.
In this regard, Diez once told to The Athletic, “You could tell he was special….But he seemed touched by a magic wand.” His mom agreed to what Diez asked her to do, and that’s how Lamine’s athletic journey began.
When he joined Barcelona Youth Academy, he was seven years old. His mom drove him to Barca for training on the weekend and all the remaining days; his father had that responsibility.
Decades of dedication and hard work made Lamine Yamal Barcelona’s wonderkid, to which his parents greatly contributed.
