People claim Ismail Haniyeh married his seventh wife months before he was assassinated on July 31, but is this true?

Media also reports that Ismail Haniyeh had a son with his seventh wife.

Date:

Hamas’ senior political leader, Ismail Haniyeh, who was on his visit to Tehran for the inauguration of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, was assassinated on July 31, 2024, at the age of 62.

Post his demise, Hamas released a statement that officialized his assassination. It read, “He was martyred following a cowardly Zionist assassination operation targeting his residence in Tehran.”

Well, throughout his life, Ismail Haniyeh maintained extreme privacy regarding his wife; however, in the past few months, people have been coming forward with assertions regarding his marital life.

On March 24, 2024, four months before his assassination news emerged, an Instagram user named Naz Hashem claimed that Ismail married for the 7th time.

Hashem introduced Ismail Haniyeh’s seventh wife, stating that she is 28-year-old Miss Malak Khanji.

Further, detailing the marriage, she wrote, “Malak is Haniyeh’s seventh wife, and their marriage .. held in Doha, Qatar, by the Egyptian preacher Wagdi Ghoneim on Friday, March 8, 2024.” Nevertheless, the official side has yet to confirm the information.

Although Ismail Haniyeh allegedly had multiple wives, his principal wife was Amal Haniyeh!

It is still unclear whether the now-late Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh had seven wives, but people are familiar with his long-term relationship with his wife, Amal Haniyeh.

Together with his wife Amal, Ismail Haniyeh welcomed 13 children together, among which his three sons Hazem, Amir, and Mohammad lost their lives in an Israeli attack in northern Gaza, Aljazeera reports.

Further, in the same violent invasion, Ismail and Amal lost their four grandchildren. Initially, Amal was unaware of this tragic incident in the family as she was reportedly in the hospital for treatment during the time.

On April 11, 2024, a Twitter user, Ahmed, wrote about Amal’s illness and ongoing treatment in the hospital when she came to know about the “martyrdom of her children & grandchildren.” Further, in the statement, he considered Amal the Iron Lady of Gaza.

Well, now, as Ismail Haniyeh has passed away, his wife Amal Haniyeh survived him, per the Guardian report.
