Hozier, a well-known Irish musician, and singer-songwriter, made his relationship official with model Hana Mayeda, addressing her as his girlfriend in the comment section of Mayeda’s Instagram post a year back.
On July 25, 2023, Mayeda had shared pictures from her vacation in Italy. The third picture of the post featured a man seemingly holding her tightly in the swimming pool.
Though the man’s face was unclear, one of Mayeda’s followers commented in the post, writing, “Is that Hozier in the Slide 3?,” eventually sparking their dating rumors.
After that, many harassed Haya Mayeda by stating that she was problematic and the opposite of Hozier.
In response to these demeaning comments, Hozier wrote, “Now that’s out of the way, it’d feel really good if you could refrain from carrying out a conversation like this on my GF’s personal page.”
Hozier continued by saying that the assumptions about his girlfriend are entirely baseless and feel as insensitive and disrespectful as they would for anyone else.
He lastly said, “I cherish the privacy we aim to keep for ourselves, and I hope you can support that. Thank you.” Hozier’s girlfriend, Haya Mayeda, later reacted to this comment.
Though the “Take me to church” singer confirmed his relationship with Haya Mayeda, he later deleted the comment, as he always prefers to keep his personal life away from the public eye.
