Ever since an American Journalist, Mina Kimes, made media headlines for taking a dig at a famous footballer, Travis Kelce, for his masculinity and his relationship with Taylor Swift, people have appeared to be pretty curious about her personal life, especially her husband.
Well, Mina’s husband is no other than the famous music producer Nick Sylvester. He was born and raised in Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania, USA, outside of Philadelphia.
Sylvester is a Harvard graduate. During college, he wrote for The Harvard Lampoon simultaneously with Colin Jost, Simon Rich, and Zach Kanin.
Moreover, Sylvester was a writer for Pitchfork from 2002 to 2006 and was an editor there from 2004 to 2006.
In addition to journalism, his musical journey started in high school, when he played trumpet professionally in wedding and jazz bands.
However, he began producing music professionally in 2008 after quitting journalism. He also produced, co-wrote, and played drums in the Mr. Dream, a Brooklyn punk rock music group.
In 2009, Sylvester lived with James Murphy during the recording of This Is Happening and extensively learned how to record, mix, and produce music.
Since then, he has worked on over 25 music albums and 100 songs and has had a successful music composition and production career.
Mina Kimes and her husband, Nick Sylvester, have been married for nine years and have a son together!
Even though the couple has been together for a long time, they choose to keep their marriage life private and don’t share much about it.
However, according to the New York Post, Mina and Sylvester were introduced to each other by a mutual friend, and they began dating in 2012.
After dating for almost three years, the couple exchanged marital vows in September 2015 at Material Culture in Philadelphia.
In June 2023, Mina announced her first pregnancy on Twitter, captioning the post, “At the espys, brought a date.” Shortly after the pregnancy announcement, the couple welcomed a baby boy in October 2023.
